Jacques Pougeoise & Fils

Champagne Jacques Pougeoise & Fils is a small grower, family estate since 1870, in the prestigious Côte des Blancs, exclusively in the Premier Cru classified village of Vertus. Jean-Marie Pougeoise, the founder’s great, great-grandson, sustainably farms more than 4 hectares of vineyards and has been carrying on the family winegrowing tradition for decades. His son Clément, is now taking over the vineyard. Jacques Pougeoise & Fils was the first Champagne grower to be certified “Viticulture Raisonnée” in 2007. They hold the Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne labels (VDC) and High Environmental Value (HVE). Stopping insecticides and herbicides, grassing their plots, working the soil under the row, planting hedges and trees, are all concrete actions that have been an undertaking for 25 years.
