Château Cru Cantemerle

Bordeaux is considered by many people as the world capital of wine with its rich historical past for nearly 2 000 years, and is located in the center of the largest fine wines vineyard in the world - more than 120,000 hectares of an exceptional richness: 57 AOC (Protected Designation of Origin « PDO ») for regions, small areas or villages, more than 5 000 châteaux, 60 cooperatives cellars and 400 Negociant estates. The Bordeaux wine Cru Cantemerle is very old, as it is borne out by historical references, for example in the 1868 Feret directory. The estate was taken over in 1998 by the Mabille family. Major works were undertaken to restructure the vineyard and cellars to the greatest wine benefit. In 2003, the Mignon family, already Champagne producers in Epernay, purchased 6 hectares in Saint André de Cubzac, entrusting its farming to the Mabille family. The vineyard has been completed in 2012, with the purchase of 12 new hectares, putting the average age of the vines to 25 years.
